AMONG US CROCHET PATTERN, plush for beginners

Hi Pumpkins !!! I hope you had an amazing week ! In order to keep you busy this week-end, I put my Among US crochet pattern online ! If you are a big fan of the game as I am, you know that everybody is talking about it right now. So, I thought that would be cute to create this cute large-sized amigurumi plush. The cool thing about it, is that you can pick whatever colors you want and it’s also a very easy crochet pattern for beginners !

As usual, I also wrote down a printable pattern ( pdf ) that you can follow while watching the full tutorial video on Youtube. everything you need is in this blog post.

Supplies list

( Since I buy a lot of my supplies on Amazon so I’ve added the links in Italic )

• Fluffy chenille yarn, any color ( for the body ) : I used ESTAKO chenille yarn ( 100g/132 yds). You only need one ball for this pattern. Link to purchase it : Here

• Black chenille yarn ( for the screen ) : I used ESTAKO chenille yarn as well ( 100g/132 yds). You will need less than a full ball. Here

• Black cotton thread ( to sew the screen to the ), from 24/7 Cotton. Here

• White acrylic yarn ( for the screen ), from Red Heart Super Saver in White. Here

• Crochet hooks : 5 mm (US 7) and 8 mm , from this crochet kit : Here

• Toy stuffing : Here

• Darning needle and stitch marker. It comes from the crochet kit listed above.

Sc : single crochet
Inc : increase

Screen

Hook 5 mm
WHITE ACRYLIC YARN

R0 : Chain 21 ( 21 ) A
Turn your work and crochet in the chain :
R1 : 1 inc, 19 sc, 1 inc ( 23 )
R2 > R11 : 1 sc in each stitch ( 23 ) ( 10 rows )
R12 : 1 dec, 19 sc, 1 dec ( 21) B
Cut the yarn, fasten off and weave the end in with the darning needle. C

BLACK FLUFFY YARN

In one of the stitches* surrounding your white work, make a chain stitch E.
*( examples of stitches in which you can make the ch. D ).
Make a sc in each surrounding stitches. F
It creates a black frame. G
When you are back at the starting ch stitch, make a knot and weave in.

Feet & Body

Hook 8mm
RED FLUFFLY YARN

F1
R0 : magic circle
R1 : 6 sc in the magic circle (6)
R2 : 6 inc (12)
R3 : (1 sc, 1 inc) x6 (18)

R4 > R8 : 1 sc in each stitches (18) ( 5 rounds )
Cut the yarn, fasten off and weave the end in with the darning needle.
This is your first foot. A

F2
R0 : magic circle
R1 : 6 sc in the magic circle (6)
R2 : 6 inc (12)
R3 : (1 sc, 1 inc) x6 (18)

R4 > R9 : 1 sc in all 18 stitches (18) ( 6 rounds )
Do not cut the yarn or fasten off because you will keep crocheting on this stitch. B

CONNECTING FEET
If written explications seem a little confusing,

R10 :

• (F2) On the 18th stitch of R9 : 3 ch. A
• Attach it to F1 with 1 sc in one of its 18 stitches.
  Then, put a stitch marker on this sc (1) B
  Now, 1 sc in each of the 17 stitches left around F1 (18) C
  1 sc in one side of the 3 ch previously made (21) D
  1 sc in all 18 stitches around the F2 (39) E
  Finally, 1 sc in the other side of the 3 ch (42) F
  If the round is correct ( 42 sc ) you are back at the stitch marker 🙂

R11 > R34 : 1 sc in all 42 stitches (48) ( 24 rounds ) A
With the black cotton thread, sew the screen to the body. B
Follow the black yarn to sew around the screen. *
Before finishing sewing, stuff lightly to create a small bump.

Stuff the feet and the bottom part of the body
R35 : (5 sc, 1 dec) x6 (36)
R36 : (4 sc, 1 dec) x6 (30)
Keep stuffing the body
R37 : (3 sc, 1 dec) x6 (24)
R38 : (2 sc, 1 dec) x6 (18)
Finish stuffing the body
R39 : (1 sc, 1 dec) x6 (12)
R40 : 6 dec (6)
Leave 6 in. of thread then cut it.
Make a yarn over, and pass the thread through the loop to tie a knot.
With the thread and a darning needle, pass through the previous 6 stitches to close the circle.
Finally, hide the thread in the body with the needle then, cut what is left.
