Some notes before starting

  • Read the pattern completely before you start and if you have any questions or feedback, I will be happy answer them ( contact me : here )
  • In the making, I do use craft glue to keep some pieces together. Feel free to sew elements if you don’t want to use glue.
  • The use of different supplies from that indicated may vary the final rendering. You don’t have to use the same brand of yarn but the gauge has to be the same for a similar result.
  • For a result similar to the original plushie, it is important to read each step of the pattern carefully so you don’t skip instructions given for a specific row (or round). The model requires careful counting of rows and stitches.
  • Also, don’t hesitate to contact me at crochetpinkpumpkin@gmail.com if you notice any mistakes in the tutorial, thank you
  • Check the size of the hook indicated at the top left of each page.
  • The numbers placed in parentheses correspond to the number of stitches to have when finishing the row or round. This allows you to know if it was done correctly. If you have more than the number indicated, it means that you have added stitches. Conversely, if you have less than the indicated amount you may have skipped stitches.
  • The letters (a,b,c…) at the end of sentences correspond to the pictures.
  • Avoid waste by mixing your cut threads with the stuffing.

Dimensions

cherry free crochet pattern
  • The cherries with the stem measure approx. 12 inches high. Each cherry is 7 inches wide.
  • The size of your cherries can differ according to the tightness of your stitches.
  • The use of different supplies from that indicated may vary the final rendering. You don’t have to use the same brand of yarn but the weight category and hook size have to be the same for a similar result ( in term of proportion ).

Eyelashes

With a thin black cotton thread and a darning needle, embroider 2 eyelashes for the eyes of only one of the cherries (a). More details on the video : here

Cheeks

With pink chenille yarn and a darning needle, embroider 2 cheeks under the eyes of the same cherry. Pass the chenille yarn twice in the stitches to make the cheeks thicker (b). More details on the video : here

Smile

With the thin black cotton thread and a darning needle, embroider the smile in the middle of the eyes ( for both cherries ).
First, create the entire line with the thread. Then, pull that line down a row to create an arc. To make it stay in place sew a very small stitch at the bottom of the smile ( has to be almost invisible ).

The stem
